I’m Late, I’m Late
Join us for the opening reception of five new exhibitions in visual arts, photography and craft & design.
As part of our continuing 40th anniversary celebration, our spring exhibitions focus on the idea of legacy. We are pleased to present works from returning artists who have played significant roles in our making and exhibiting history. They continue to influence Visual Arts at Harbourfront Centre, and together with up-and-coming artists will carry on creating contemporary work well into our future.
Max Dean has unleashed his imagination and invites viewers to participate in his creative process. Establishing a metaphor between Harbourfront Centre’s photography gallery and his studio, Dean plots the journey of his ideas from inception to realization. The photography gallery, an intersection with twenty-something portals leading in all directions and to all sorts of activities and places echos Dean’s studio (or even his mind), is a space of possibilities whose primary function is to facilitate connections. Dean’s artistic journey takes viewers deep into his jungle, to the edge of cliffs and across bodies of water teaming with ravenous creatures. Part of CONTACT 2014.
