Painting and Mixed Media
Grazyna Adamska-Jarecka is a Canadian artist, born in Poland, whose work addresses depression from a female perspective. Adamska-Jarecka received her MFA in painting from Indiana University of Pennsylvania, USA (2006) and Honors BA in Studio Art from University of Guelph, Canada (2002).
In 2010 she received the Au Naturel Solo Show Award (Astoria, OR) and her work appeared in The Los Angeles Art Show with Ward-Nasse Gallery, The Rockford Midwestern Museum's Biennial, United in Art (São Paulo, Brazil) and Women’s Vision (New York).
In 2011 she received the 4th International Award of Lorenzo de Medici in the category of installation for her piece Fourfold Rocking at the Florence Biennale. The same piece became a 2011 ArtSlant Juried Winner in the 6th round of the Showcase Competition in the category of drawing.
In 2012 she displayed her work in the public Museum of the City of Merida, Mexico, at Peak Gallery, Toronto, Wellington County Museum, Fergus, Ontario, and at Marzia Frozen Gallery in Berlin. Her new installation Dual Sided Id will be shown in Koza Visual Culture and Arts Association in Instanbul from November 22 through December 2, 2012.
