Journey Without End: The Life and Art of Lawrence Calcagno was published seven years after Calcagno's death, and highlights his work, life and influence on the arts and culture of New Mexico as well as on both coasts. It is a collection of many of his best works from all periods of his life and illustrates Calcagno's self-driven, methodical evolution as an artist.
The monograph contains a forward by Ellen J. Landis, former Curator of Art at The Albuquerque Museum, and an introduction by Gerald Nordland, former director of the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art. It was published by The Albuquerque Museum in 2000.
Aaron Payne Fine Art is pleased to continue our exhibition of artworks from the five-decade career of Lawrence Calcagno through December 10th. The exhibition features 40 works -- from his earliest abstractions painted in San Francisco to the Rituals series of the late 1980s and the White Painting series done at the end of his life.
Aaron Payne Fine Art is the exclusive representative of the The Estate of Lawrence Calcagno.
