EVOKE Contemporary proudly presents DECADENCE a group exhibition curated by John O’Hern featuring the work of 30 artists working within the theme “Decadence”.  The show is scheduled to open in Santa Fe on Friday, July 1, 2011 and will run through Sunday, July 31, 2011. There will be a reception for the artists on Friday, July 1st from 5 – 7pm and the public is invited!

“Decadence” will encompass some of the most illustrious examples of artistic lavishness in the mediums of painting, drawing, photography and sculpture in bronze and ceramic.Some of the artists featured in this show include Daniel Barkley, David Bowers, Ivan Dvorak, Sergio Garval, Scott Goodwillie, Laurie Hogin, Lee Price, Jeffrey Ripple, Jorge Santos, Kent Williams, Pamela Wilson and Irina Zaytceva. 

JohnO’Hern is the Santa Fe Editor of American Art Collector and Western Art Collector magazines and was Executive Director and Curator of the Arnot Art Museum where he originated the innovative biennial exhibitions of contemporary realism, “Re-PresentingRepresentation”. This will be Mr. O’Hern’s second exhibition to be held at EVOKEContemporary.  In 2010, he unveiled the premiere of the renowned nude exhibition, Re-Presenting the Nude, at EVOKE which has been inaugurated as a biennial event to reappear in July of 2012.
