DESCRIPTION

Unraveling Tradition: Contemporary Artists Working with Fiber Media

Unraveling Tradition, features contemporary artists from across the United States who convey innovative ideas and concerns using traditional handwork techniques such as weaving, sewing, embroidery, felting, knitting and crochet. Focusing primarily on sculpture and installations, these artists use various fiber media to create non-traditional objects and assemblages.

Opens and runs concurrently with Restoration: Creative work by Textile Conservators and Restorers
