I was working on a series of paintings that related horizontal composition to abstract space when this piece popped out of my feelings leaving geometry far behind.
Far Beyond where I stand is a line of trees, silhouetted against the evening sky. Their reflections ripple quietly in the mirrored lake and I feel a joyful serenity.
This painting express my love of my childhood environment - unlimited views and far horizons.
The work has painted gallery edges needing no framing.at all.
