Oil on Canvas

The inception of this work is very tortuous. First, I saw a photograph by somebody else, and it intrigued me. The format of my canvas more or less matched that photograph.
I then tried to created my echo, instead of a copy of that view of a room of eerie green light and some wavering red tiles. Think of electric currents.
I worked on my canvas, till I reached a stage that I could stop and call it a decent one. But it was not satisfying. Pointless. With layers and layers of more paints applied, the results moved further away from that photograph and my initial attempt and took on a new life of its own.
Seeing where it went, I consulted other my favorite artists, and come up with a solution, trying to present how I react or remember the my trip to Yosemite in the fall. It was not a landscape painting. It's a recollection of memories and emotions.
