DESCRIPTION
Sandra Lee Gallery, formerly Evolving art gallery, will rotate it's inaugural group exhibition, Exploration and Celebration, at our new Union Square location, with a continued focus on West Coast, Bay Area and Asian contemporary art practice. This month Exploration and Celebration will further investigate the current development of global art trends by presenting, side by side, the work of internationally renowned, mid-career and emerging artists. Participating artists include Younhee Paik, Hyesook Park, and David Mark.

Younhee Paik's luminous paintings and installations have been incorporated into important exhibition and collections around the world including the National Museum of Contemporary Art, Korea, the Venice Biennale, and the San Jose Museum of Art. Her Galaxy series represent a constellation of ever-evolving symbols that alternate from the intimate and universal.

Los Angeles based artist Hyesook Park was recently recognized as one of the West Coast's most influential painters by her inclusion in the Oakland Museum of California's critically commended exhibition LA Paint. Park's utilizes texture and scale to transform traditional Asian landscape painting into a sensual expression of nature and formal aesthetics.

As much of a scientist as an artist, David Mark's atmospheric paintings present us with the possibility of discovering new worlds through creative exploration. Inspired by planetary dynamics, Mark reveals the relationship between our most apparent material reality and our essential cosmic reality.

Sandra Lee Gallery aims to connect serious art collectors and art lovers with innovative and affordable original painting, sculpture, and photography made by nationally and internationally renowned artists. Gallery Hours: Monday - Friday 11:00am to 7:00pm Saturday 11:00am to 5:30pm. Other hours by appointment.
