DESCRIPTION

Root Division presents TASTE 2009, an exhibition of artwork exploring what we eat, the way we eat, and where our food comes from. Food gives us sustenance and is necessary to our survival. The rituals associated with food and the fantasies and desires we associate with food are all part of the feast.

At this year's Taste exhibition you can see a 9-foot tall toothpick sculpture of San Francisco, learn how to make bio-diesel, and be inspired to start your own victory garden, all in one place!

In addition to the opening reception on April 11, and in conjunction with this exhibition, Root Division is hosting a ticketed event, Taste 2009, a culinary and visual celebration of San Francisco. This event features 8-10 of the most creative local chefs preparing food and drinks alongside the art in our gallery as well as live music, a Silent Auction, and a chance to win a wine chest filled with 50 collector's bottles. Visit our web site for more information.
