DESCRIPTION

This show focuses on how Literature and Art are often combined and through the combination enhance each other. Sometimes it is by Calligraphy, or by art that incorporates words, or it is a poet who meets an artist and they each interpret each others work or the poet is also an artist and illustrates his/how own works. Sometimes it is by illustration of a story or book that is presented in different media; or by creating a portrait of a famous Poet or Writer. Some artists have created objects out of book covers, or books or paper with works on it. Communications between individuals reaching out to each other is also presented through writing and art. This show brings to the public a much broader view of art and literature than most people have though about and begins at the time the Book Fair comes to downtown Berkeley, CA.
