DESCRIPTION

The Academy of Art University boasts a wealth of talent in their Printmaking and Book Arts faculty. Working with a respect for tradition and an eye to innovation, the eleven faculty members showcased in this exhibit exemplify the best of what’s happening in the Print and Book world today. Monumental Monotype, Stone Lithography, multi-layered Silkscreen, Etching, Relief and Letterpress demonstrate the artists’ technical mastery, which, along with inventive binding techniques, exquisite craftsmanship and the unexpected use of reclaimed materials illustrate a vivid cross section of the State of the Art as practiced at AAU.
