DESCRIPTION

A Curious Recognition

Painter and printmaker Timothy Berry’s most recent work continues a lifelong

investigation of mankind’s contentious, yet appreciative relationship to nature.

Utilizing motifs from natural landscapes, he generates implied narratives of

a paradise lost and flirts with patterned abstraction. His work results from a

generative approach to printmaking that involves aspects of digital and analog

techniques. His collaborative printmaking workshop, Teaberry Press, has worked

with over 250 artists to create new projects since 1974. Berry is Associate Professor

at SFAI.
