Anthony Austin Pinata is an Oakland-based artist and museum professional. He has a M.F.A in printmaking and M.A. in Italian literature from the University of Connecticut. As a visual artist he has participated in exhibitions in California and New York. While working for the Richmond Art Center (RAC), he curated the first part of the 75th anniversary exhibition, and co-curated the second half with the RAC Exhibitions Director Emily Anderson. The 2 exhibits included more than 100 artists from the RAC's past. He has been working on an exhibition catalog documenting the anniversary exhibit, which is scheduled for completion this year. Presently he is a Project Coordinator at the Oakland Museum of California and most recently curated the exhibit "Paper Work: When Paper Becomes Art" with 6 Bay Area artists at Oakland International Airport.
