DESCRIPTION

Renowned photographer Jim Goldberg joins photographer Gabriele Stabile and journalist Juliet Linderman in a discussion about the Voice of Witness newest title, The Refugee Hotel.   The artists will engage such topics as the exploration of the human condition in art, notions of transience and belonging, and the role of marginalized voices in their work. Conversation will be moderated by CJM’s writer-in-residence Dan Schifrin.

Voice of Witness newest title The Refugee Hotel is a groundbreaking collection of photography and interviews that documents the arrival of refugees in the United States. Stunning images are coupled with moving testimonies from people describing their first days in the U.S., the lives they’ve left behind, and the new communities they’ve since created.

Books sales and signing following presentation.
