(Oakland, California) Studio Quercus presents THE NUDE 2012, an art exhibit of human nakedness in all its beauty and pathos. Twenty-three California artists explore the human form in a range of styles and mediums, reflecting the variety of ways that contemporary artists continue to contemplate the figure as subject.

The work for the exhibition was chosen from an open call for submissions and by invitation. Artists included in the exhibition are: Rocky Angel, Doreen Barton, Susan Casentini, Cherie Chavez, Dana Davis, Gael Fitzmaurice, Sasha Flamm, Richard C. Herman, Alex Jackson, Cindy Lemmon, Stan Peterson, Marina Povalishina, Ashleigh Pritchard, Rachelle Reichert, Ed Roecker, Andrew Romanoff, Bruce Russell, Tim Sharman, M. Louise Stanley, Julianne Sterling, Inez Storer, Leonard Van Noord, Jim Whiteaker

Studio Quercus is an exhibit and performance space in Oakland’s Uptown Arts District.
