DESCRIPTION

Richard Meyer, professor of art history, Stanford University, is particularly concerned with the ongoing cultural debate over sexuality and gender and its effects upon modern art and visual culture. For this lecture he focuses on art history and queer subculture, especially how marginal visual artifacts are a means to recognize the necessity of attending to what the dominant culture discards or trivializes.

And a special event:
Decorative Piercing by Lolita Wolf
Lolita Wolf will lead a decorative piercing performance with Nayland Blake.
