DESCRIPTION

Circular Motion: Subverting Circumscription brings together seven distinct video installations by contemporary Cuban artists. In this exhibition, the “circular motion” central to each work explores circumscription, constriction, and circulation in both the restrictive and generative aspect.  Thematically, the installations translate the symbol of the circle into a metaphor for the relationship between Cuba and the United States.
