DESCRIPTION

Join artists Andy Diaz Hope and Laurel Roth on Friday, June 29, from 5 to 8pm at the de Young Museum for the closing reception of their month in the Artist Studio collaborating on a new tapestry.

This is the final week of Andy Diaz Hope and Laurel Roth’s month-long stay at the de Young Museum as part of their year-long fellowship to finish Allegory of the Prisoner's Dilemma, the final tapestry in a series of three.

As part of the stay in the gallery, they have been gathering input from visitors to integrate into the tapestry, which is a visual representation of the history of human conflict and collaboration. Also on display is some of the process that went into the first two tapestries, Allegory of the Infinite Mortal and Allegory of the Monoceros. This is also your last chance to view their interactive sculpture Reflection Engine in the U.S. before it begins its European tour.
