DESCRIPTION

Myths of Progress: Utopic Dreams/Dystopic Realities

Gallery Conversation with the Artists: Saturday, March 31, 2pm
The talk is followed by a Closing Party in the gallery.

In association with Kala Gallery’s current exhibition, Myths of Progress, a Gallery Conversation with the Artists will be presented on Saturday, March 31 at 2:00 pm. Artists Alison OK Frost, Michael McConnell, Erik Parra and Walter Robinson will join curator Lauren Davies in a discussion of work in the exhibition and the theme of post-modern dystopia. As ominous as the term “dystopia” might sound, Myths of Progress is an engaging exhibition with multi-faceted view-points ranging from the oddly worrisome to the ironically amusing. This will be the final day for Myths of Progress, so please join us for the Gallery Conversation with the Artists and stay for the Closing Day Party. The event is open to the public and is free of charge.
