Krowswork is very pleased to announce the Summer of Video Art: Oakland Video Vague—a rolling wave of video projects, installations, performances, and single channel works to be presented over the course of July and August. The program begins on July 1st, with the Oakland Art Murmur First Friday and continues through August 27th.

In the Project Room: Will Erokan's video wall installation, "RAINBOW Programming," an exercise in Physiological/Spiritual Tactile Manipulation. The piece probes methods of control pioneered by both religious and intelligence groups (Binaural Frequencies, Stroboscopic Visuals, Reactive Mind Commands, the 25th Shot System, Monarch Programming, Infrasound, etc).

In the Main Space: "MOTJ above TMCJ Under" video + performance by Wafaa Yasin (performance at 7 pm & repeated at 8) "Ground Breaking" by Michael Zheng Video installation by Cybele Lyle

In the Pew Room: "Lodge" by Reece Camp Carter "Phoenix" by Dickson Schneider "RFB in Three Dimensions" by RKDB

In the Studio: "Mortal Treasures" by Farley Gwazda "Fourth Dementia" by Matthew Draving "Double Shadow" Installation by Hunter Longe "Slaves" by Elizabeth Orr

Outside: Chris Sollars presents a new video work, created in tandem with his work at Yerba Buena Center for the Arts, Bay Area Now 6.

And at 9 pm a live audio performance by sound installation artists Eurostache in the Pew Room

August 5th - the opening of the second wave: The Feel of the Water, including work by Dale Hoyt, Kim Miskowicz, Lisa Blatt, Carolyn Radlo/Alanna Simone, George Pfau, Monica Peck, Darrin Martin, Peter Max Lawrence, Conrad Meyers II, Lucinda Luvaas, Daniel Konhauser, Torsten Zenas Burns, Carol Selter, and Sian Amoy.

August 13th - Conversation with Getty curator Glenn Phillips

August 26th - The Spontaneous Underground Presents Laser Fest: underground video and performance curated by Shalo P

August 27th - Just announced: Conversation with SFMOMA assistant media arts curator Tanya Zimbardo followed by live video performances by Kim Miskowicz and Tommy Becker.
