Giant Robot Pop-Up Store at the Museum of Craft and Folk Art
Giant Robot magazine and stores is proud to announce a pop-up shop at San Francisco's Museum of Craft & Folk Art store on Yerba Buena Lane in San Francisco.
The special outlet will open its doors on June 3 during the museum’s Craft Bar program, and operate concurrently with the Clare Rojas “We They, We They” exhibition through August 22nd.
In addition to featuring publications by the internationally renown San Francisco artist Clare Rojas (a friend of the magazine and its stores and galleries), the pop-up shop will offer items that represent the full spectrum of the Giant Robot aesthetic.
The ever-changing stock will range from craft and folk art (one-of-a-kind extras from the recent Patchwork group show), to modern artists from Asia (Yoshitomo Nara and Takashi Murakami), to designer gifts (Eggling planters, Mikroworld dioramas, and PANTONE mugs), to Giant Robot magazine-branded gear.
Giant Robot was born as a Los Angeles-based magazine about Asian, Asian-American, and new hybrid culture in 1994, but has evolved into a full-service pop culture provider with shops and galleries in Los Angeles, San Francisco, and New York City, as well as an online equivalent.
The pop-up store will open on Thursday, June 3.
