Barry Masteller was born and raised in the Silver Lake District of Los Angeles. He studied painting and life drawing during the sixties with artist / painter Walton Craig Titus, additionally studying painting and art restoration techniques with several independent art conservators and artists; he spent much of his teen years viewing art at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art and numerous galleries along North La Cienega and LaBrea avenue where he worked as a framer; later relocating to the Carmel / Monterey area he established his own painting studio and gallery doing art restoration and hand carved gilded frames. He has had numerous gallery and museum shows and has work in many public, museum and private collections worldwide.
