Jennifer Wasson was born in Manhattan in 1975 and studied oil painting at The Art Students League of New York for 2 years as a young adult. Wasson now splits her time between the urban hills of San Francisco and a cabin deep in the redwoods of the Santa Cruz Mountains. With one foot in each world, she explores the divide between the pulse of our contemporary culture and the natural realm. Her work reflects this juxtaposition as abstract shapes & patterns collide with animal forms; forcing us to pause and question our human-centric notions of what constitutes ‘reality’. Wasson has exhibited in San Francisco, New York, and Atlanta, and was recently featured in Lucerna Magazine.
