DESCRIPTION

MathGoth. Stands for Mathilde and Gautier. Last name : Jourdain. United for the best, and only for the best. On stage, and off. Both are Street Art fanatics, level : very high intensity on the Graffiti scale, and tuned into worldwide urban culture.

As leader of the gang, Goth has accomplished the extraordinary feat of gathering 400 artists from all around the world into one unique event the 400 ml project. Launched like a bomb in the Maison des Métallos in Paris, this art-weapon is now “spray-ding” anywhere the winds of graff’ may blow it. As a logical follow-up to this unifying event, Mathgoth is once again mixing up the rules of our universe, where codes are fading away.

The Gallery is only virtual by name. Mathgoth, this unifier of synergies, honors legends of this form of art who are still mutating exponentially; adventurous pioneers like CORNBREAD or TAKI 183. Without them Street Art would not be where it is today. Mathgoth is a gallery, but more than that, an artistic manifesto, with commitment and passion.

Pascal BALLAND.

Mathilde and Gautier Jourdain are first collectors interested in urban art for fifteen years. Their first initiative back in 2008 with the 400ML project meets as aerosol cans, customized by 400 artists. The success of this event leads them to create an art gallery. Present on the Internet since 2010, they invest places 5-6 times a year to organize their exhibitions. Their range of artists from pioneers such Zlotykamien TAKI183 or to go to the younger generation as Alber, CT or A1one. True to their convictions, Mathilde and Gautier Jourdain work with two ideas in mind: to help and support artists, provide the desire and the means to collect.

Since September 2012 Mathgoth gallery publishes litographs, extremely limited editions for which each event is enhanced by hand.

Since 1 June 2013, the gallery moved to the heart of the 13th arrondissement of Paris, a district of the city where street art has an important place.
