A breathtaking show!

The Hillman/ Chavez collection is otherworldly, stunning, and gives a multidimensional view of the dancers in the work. The large scale photographs, which look more like paintings, capture the transformation and movement of the dancer, while inviting you into their ecstatic world. I was deeply moved by these grand figures and left feeling like I witnessed a sacred ceremony.  [more]

Lia Chavez is an awesome and innovative artist

I had the high expectations when I went to this opening. The press release intriguing as this exhibition brings together two interesting artists, one established and one emerging. I knew of Hillman's work, so it was Lia Chavez's work that caught my curiosity. I got to speak with her at length to understand the collaboration more thoroughly. Wonderful Exhibition

A Spectacular, Must-See Show

A truly spectacular show of Chavez and Hillman’s work.  The large-scale photographs are beautiful and awe-inspiring.  Each stunning image reveals layers of depth about the human body and spirit and makes you marvel at the digital process used in bringing it to life.  The work is captivating, cutting edge and original.  This show should not be missed; Chavez is a sensational young artist to be watched.
