Shabby Canal Chic

At the center of this installation, the first collaborative project between artists Heather Rowe and Kevin Zucker, is a now dormant and largely forgotten cinema which stands directly across the street form Forever and Today’s modest sized presentation space where SD Studio Dynamics 57UMSTRA1 "Strata #1," Unmounted, 5x7 opened this past Saturday.  The cinema was called Loew’s Canal Theater and it was built in 1927 toward the end of the silent film era.
