Eric Firestone Gallery is committed to breaking new ground with exhibitions that stretch the boundaries of contemporary language. Representing a number of artists and estates, the focus of Eric Firestone Gallery is unique, bringing to the viewing public not only contemporary art and design but also historic art, new genres and popular culture.
Since establishing in New York in 2010, Eric Firestone Gallery has mounted popular exhibitions such as The Haberdashery, curated by Eric Firestone and Ishi Galinsky featured works by a multi-talented group of artists including Donald Baechler, Bast, Nick Cave, Anh Duong, Tseng Kwong Chi, David LaChapelle, Shelter Serra, and Nari Ward; Parts & Service, that celebrated the grit and glory of garage culture and featured works by artists Slater Bradley, John Chamberlain, Liz Cohen, Jonah Freeman & Justin Lowe, Anthony James, Gregory Johnston, Craig McDean, Olivier Mossett, Max Snow and Firooz Zahedi; Nose Job, in which artists such as Ryan McGinness, Richard Prince, Raymond Pettibon, Shepard Fairey and Kenny Scharf created original works of art on military aircraft nose cones. An extension of the gallery and curator Carlo McCormick’s interest in Nose Art and its legacy, Nose Job incorporated aspects of “The Boneyard Project,”© in which an international selection of artists created site-specific works on repurposed military jets located at the Pima Air and Space Museum on a broad swath of Arizona desert.
