Zürcher Gallery in New York officially opened its doors in March 2009. It is the American sister-space of Galerie Zürcher, founded in Paris in 1992. Zürcher Gallery focuses on emerging American artists (Brian Belott, Paul DeMuro, Matt Bollinger among others) as well as European and Asian artists. One artist of note is Wang Keping (b. 1949, Beijing), a Chinese sculptor and founder of the “Xing Xing” or “Stars” movement of 1978 and 1979. Also represented is Regina Bogat (b. 1928, Brooklyn), whom the gallery just re-discovered in 2013.
