Watchlist Artist: Kaye Donachie

Maureen Paley is pleased to present new work by Kaye Donachie; this will be her fifth solo exhibition at the gallery. In this forthcoming exhibition Donachie’s subject is the fictional female character of Marguerite Duras’ novella . In the novella the male and female characters merge and separate. Cryptic Kaleidoscopes/ Chaotic Beauty

          There comes a point during an initial reading of work where you create conclusions about what you are seeing or trying to access and experience. David Ratcliff’s visual enigmas sit on the fence, fluctuating between requiring semiotic interpretation or being overwhelmed by the kaleidoscopic abstraction.
