DESCRIPTION

PayneShurvell gallery was run by James Payne and Joanne Shurvell in Shoreditch, London from 2010-2014. James Payne, a graduate of Central St Martins, is a working artist, curator and the film editor ofGarageland magazine. Joanne Shurvell, a former Communications Director at the Institute of Contemporary Arts, London, is an arts writer and marketing consultant. The gallery opened its first show, A Bright and Guilty Place, in June 2010.  Since 2015, PayneShurvell has shown artists in a variety of London locations and continues to do so. In April 2107, PayneShurvellSuffolk will open with its first show The Arca Project (1 April - 7 May 2017).
