DESCRIPTION

Honey Badger Motel  presents "The Raw and the Cooked," sculpture and paintings by New York City artist Jennie Booth.

Booth's work is an intriguing blend of brain science, physics, and iconography all examined through the artist's fantastical perspective.  She takes Albrecht and Sorbo's, "Boltzmann Brain Paradox" an amusing look at probability, and turns it into a world of floating, self-aware entities called Freaky Observers which rise out of Dark Matter. Dark Matter the most elemental and unknown material of the Universe symbolizes for Booth the sentient mind and brain, humanity's  most essential "material".

Plaster castings, paper-mache, wood, zippers and rope all become raw and cooked musings under her hand.
