220 Atelier- La Poesie du Paysage Art Exhibition

February 23 – March 28, 2010

220 Atelier is please to present La Poesie du Paysage, a two-person exhibition featuring the paintings and drawings of Robert Aitchison (New York), and Sybille Mathiaud (Paris).

Aitchison and Mathiaud both explore nature and landscape in their vibrantly colored works.  Aitchison’s recent paintings verge on the edge of chaos, reflecting the jungles of Bolivia where he traveled in 2008.  Mathiaud’s works, colorful and dynamic, explore her travels in the U.S. to such places as the Grand Canyon and Zion Park.

This is the inaugural opening event at 220 Atelier which aims to provide a space where artists can collaborate towards engaging exhibitions.

There will be an opening reception for La Poesie du Paysage on Tuesday, February 23rd, 2010 from 6:00 – 8:30 pm. Both artists will be present. This event is free and open to the public.

220 Atelier is located at 220 West 30th Street 2nd fl. NY, NY, 10001
