18th Annual Russian Arts and Culture Festival will take place in the month of May 2019. Homage to the Russian Avant-Garde Exhibition will start on the third week of May and the Artist's reception will take place on Sunday, May 19, coinciding with the grand event of the festival.

Russian avant-garde movement - revolutionary and remarkable art phenomenon that flourished in Russia from 1890 to 1930 had a profound impact on Western art and aesthetics. In our exhibition we want to show creations of artists that continue the traditions of Russian avant-garde.

Russian Avant-Garde was not a single style, as our juror Peter Frank said in his interview with the LarkGallery team, but rather a revolutionary approach
to the process of creating art that gave artists freedom from academic realism rules and freedom of expression.
Beside abstract art this exhibition will include portraits, landscapes, photography and sculpture.

This exhibition gets wide coverage in statewide and local media, including video footage. Press Releases and other information about this exhibition will also be sent to all relevant art magazines and newspapers. Participants will be chosen through juried competition. Aside from the exhibition during the18th Annual Russian Arts and Culture Festival, the works of the selected artists in this international exhibition will also be displayed on the website of and featured in the special juried issue Homage to the Russian Avant-Garde of the Art & Beyond Magazine.

The juror for the Homage to the Russian Avant-Garde Exhibition and Art & Beyond Magazine special issue is a prominent art critic Peter Frank, Associate Editor of Fabrik Magazine.
