Trace the rich artistic traditions of the Sikhs, starting with the life and teachings of Guru Nanak, with a gallery tour of the exhibition Saints and Kings: Art, Culture, and Legacy of the Sikhs. Then, unpack the experiences of Sikh immigrant communities in 20th- and 21st-century California. This workshop includes a gallery tour and presentations by Nicole Ranganath of the UC Davis Pioneering Punjabis Digital Archive, Jasbir Kang of the Punjabi American Heritage Society and Erin Vong of Voice of Witness.
