DESCRIPTION

Trace the relationship among the Ottoman, Safavid and Mughal Empires during the 18th century through scholar presentations, model curriculum and an exploration of the exhibition Pearls on a String: Artists, Patrons, and Poets at the Great Islamic Courts. Presented in partnership with the Center for Middle East Studies (CMES) and the Office of Resources for International and Area Studies (ORIAS) at UC Berkeley.
