A Day at the Beach: Nothing to Hide Uncoversthe Humanity and Humor of Sarasota Beaches

International artist and designer Alain J.L. Huin, unveils a new exhibition, A Day at the Beach: Nothing to Hide at Alfstad& Contemporary in Sarasota, April 8–May 6. The Opening Night Reception is April 8th

Educated in France, Huin has been at the forefront of international design for over 40 years. In this exhibition, the artist has indulged his first loves – drawing and painting – to create a body of work that blends sophisticated design and bold coloring with a continental sense of style. Featuring paintings and prints, Nothing to Hide is a personal observation and interpretation of what the artist saw while walking the beaches surrounding Sarasota.

“My art work is influenced by details often dismissed or invisible in the blur of daily life,” says Huin who moved to Sarasota almost 20 years ago. “As an artist, my surroundings acutely register with me. Nothing to Hide is my interpretation of what I experienced on Turtle, Lido and Siesta Key Beaches – of course, with a bit of humor.”

OPENING RECEPTION: April 8, 2016 | Friday Evening 5:30 – 8:00pm

Exhibition Dates: April 8 – May 6, 2016 | Tues – Sat, 11:00 – 5:00pm
