“An Afternoon with Art and Horses,” an art exhibition and sale of horse and nature-themed artwork held in a beautiful equestrian setting, will be presented by PGartventure, a Larchmont, NY art gallery.  The event will be hosted by the Boulder Brook Equestrian Center, 291 Mamaroneck Road, in Scarsdale, NY on Sunday, October 12, 2008 from 2pm to 5pm.  Horse enthusiasts, nature lovers, art collectors, families and the general public are invited to attend. Admission is free.

The show, curated by Pascale Goldenstein, owner of PGartventure of Larchmont, features the works of American and international artists.  The indoor arena of the Equestrian Center will serve as an exhibition hall for the innovative selection of paintings, photographs and videos relating to horses and nature.  During the event visitors will have an opportunity to stroll through the arena and discover the art while viewing horses being lunged and listening to live music.

“When people look at art it is usually within the confines of a museum, gallery space or public institution.  It should not be this way,” commented Pascale Goldenstein.  “As many of us have a visceral connection to art, we also have emotional connections to our surroundings.  I seek emotionally charged spaces in which to exhibit art.  The equestrian center is the ideal venue to display this original art relating to horses and nature.  My goal is to bring the art to the public, to give them a visual feast and hope they will share my emotion.”

Some of the emerging and established artists that will be represented are Lorena Guillen Vaschetti, Jacky Ananou, Michael Zansky, Dominick Lombardi, Martin Barnett, Rolf Saint Agnes, Piotr Klemensiewicz, Carole Campbell, Jen Bakalar, Rob Fuerer and Alex Girshin.

A percentage of the exhibit profits will benefit a Boulder Brook horse retirement fund.
