If you are looking to apply to a degree course or to become a photographer, the most important step is a brilliant portfolio. This course is aimed at paople who want to take their work to a new conceptual level or develop a specific project. It covers the art of editing you images and developing a portfolio that will stand out.

Having a great portfolio doesn't simply mean technical skills. What will set you apart is your ability to formulate concepts and to follow through to a cohesive body of work that speaks for you. From the initial concept to the final presentation, the development of new ideas as well as the continued reworking and refining of the existing portfolio as primart goals. The course offers one-to-one and group feedback on your work. Invaluable critiques will foucus and expand your creative potential.
In this exciting course, you will be able to focus on your chosen area of photographic practice, whether it be fine art, documentary, fashion or editorial. Skills that you acquire will help you to establish your critical reflective stance as a photographer and refine your editing skills when it comes to tailoring portfolios for different uses.

Although you can focus on black and white, color, or digital photography, you should know how to use an SLR and be familiar with the basic principles of traditional photography and darkroom printing. Please bring prints with you to class and be prepared to make prints of digital files for your final portfolio.
