DESCRIPTION

KADS New York presents the 2015 Celebrating Print Exhibition—the second annual international survey of contemporary fine art prints by artists of Central and Eastern European backgrounds. The exhibition will be on view at BBLA Gallery in New York City from December 7, 2015 – January 13, 2016. The presentation includes a juried exhibition and an exhibition of paper objects created as homage to Czech artist Kveta Pacovska. The BBLA Cash Award will be announced at the opening on December 8.

 

Selected by a New York-based artist, printmaker and Associate Professor at University of Vermont Mildred Beltre, the 2015 Celebrating Print Exhibitionintroduces thirty-three projects by twenty-two artists from Bulgaria, Brazil, Canada, Croatia, CzechRepublic, Germany, Hungary, Lithuania, Poland, Slovakia, Slovenia, Sweden and the USA. The selection represents a variety of printmaking techniques, including intaglio, relief, lithography, screen print, lenticular print and monotype.

 

The 2015 Celebrating Print Artists are:

Roman Balaz, Andre Berger, Tobias Crone, Maria Erikson, Beth Ganz, Sadko Hadzihasanovic, Jana Hubatkova, Kama Jackowska, Gergeli Karpati, Anna Kenar, Weronika Marszelewska, Eva Nikolova, Kristina Norvilaite, Darina Peeva, Jindrich Pevny, Tatiana Potts, Maria Simeonova, Ana Sladetic, Lenka Stepanikova, Eszter Sziksz, Lenka Vilhelmova and Mojca Zlokarnik.
