DESCRIPTION

The Arabian Peninsula has long been a crossroads of art, culture and trade. Several languages and writing systems have been used, and a rich body of oral poetry has been composed. Learn about these languages and hear poetry with students from the Department of Near Eastern Studies at the University of California, Berkeley.

This program is co-presented by the Center for Middle Eastern Studies at the University of California, Berkeley.
