‘LEGACY OF RAPE’ PROJECT

Work by top photographers in live and silent auction

 

The fourth annual benefit auction for PROOF: Media for Social Justice will be held in New York on Monday, April 28, 2014 at Sundaram Tagore Gallery in Chelsea.

Over fifty photographs by Allen Ginsberg, Mark Seliger, Kenro Izu, William John Kennedy, Steve McCurry, Susan Meiselas, Prabir Purkyastha, Fazal Sheikh, Harvey Stein and many other great photographers will be featured in the live and silent auction.  Brittney Ingarra of Swann Galleries will lead the auction.

Executive Director Leora Kahn announced that proceeds from the auction will benefit Legacy of Rape, a series of workshops and exhibitions designed to combat sexual violence against women through education and dialogue. Legacy of Rape will travel to Colombia, Nepal and India.
