DESCRIPTION

“Crimson Field” is the newest work within Jade Yumang’s Queer Monsters series and his most ambitious one to date. This piece was developed in five months during his time at the Lower Manhattan Cultural Council Swing Space residency in Governors Island, New York, NY in 2013. He will be accompanied by three other performers/artists, Sara Jimenez, Cupid Ojala, and Jessica Posner, to evoke and embody the ambiguity of queer form through simple gestures within a complex installation littered with amorphous sculptures.
