The "Break On Through" exhibition showcases a digital photo-montage series. Martin Abrahams takes you on a journey with his subterranean dreamscape. His style is a futuristic pop montage of horror, cartoons and science fiction, combined with photography to create a surrealistic cartoon reality. By rearranging images and elements from pop comic book culture Martin Abrahams creates images juxtaposing the absurd Political Reality with the Poetic Amusing Absurdity. His visual talent tells us a story integrating the Strange with the Grotesque, the Dream with the Nightmare! His vivid interpretations of cartoons as a reality are meaningful interpretations that he intimately shares with his audience.

Martin Abrahams graduated from the School of Visual Arts Fine Arts Department in NYC where he is presently a faculty member in the Animation Department. Martin has pioneered Animation as an independent art as well as the Documentation of the NY Punk scene. He was also protégé of Michelangelo Antonioni and Henry Miller.
