DESCRIPTION

The Ezekiel Project, a set of works on paper, reflects a contemporary twist on the prophetic vision of restoration and express the uncertainty, vulnerability, and yearning for hope in today’s world.

The title of the series also alludes to Ms. Eskell’s family name before it was Anglicized by a relative who immigrated to the U.S. in the early 20th century, who changed it to better assimilate into the American society. Close examination of the artworks reveal hints of lace designs as well, an emblem of a long-held family business and a link Ms. Eskell’s to earlier bodies of work.
