DESCRIPTION

In gallery IV, Barry Kostrinsky curates “Grand Silver Company, Factory Remnants: Images and Objects.” Over the last decade of Grand Silver’s 90 year history, Kostrinsky’s family run business welcomed many artists who did small and large art projects in this metal working factory.  Kostrinsky will be exhibiting various objects from Grand Silver’s industrial past, including polishing wheels, buffs, spinning tools, plating baskets and more.  These objects are combined or left on their own as beautiful industrial form.  In addition, Kostrinsky curates a selection of photographs, sculpture and mixed media created at the Grand Silver Factory by artists Jaq Belcer, Timothy Blum, Pablo Cano, Linda Cunningham, Ana de Portela, Marisol Diaz, Algernon Miller, Melodie Provenzano and J.C. Rice.
