From the Bellona Museum of Natural History
In his third solo show at Lombard Freid Projects, Feige turns to two central sources of inspiration; the fictional city of Bellona from the 1974 best seller Dhalgren by science fiction author Samuel Delany, combined with the iconic murals of Charles K. Knight that cover the walls of the American Museum of Natural History. Creating paintings, drawings, sound sculptures and installations through these filters Feige creates a world that reminisces on a seemingly forgotten time that never was. There will be a special musical performance by Feige’s collaborator Keith Freund the night of the opening reception. Freund is a member the two-person band Trouble Books, and sometimes collaborator of Mark McGuire of Emeralds.
