Kristina Sretkova is one of the hottest contemporary painters you’ll ever meet. Having exhibited her work all over the world in 2011 including Berlin, Cyprus, Sofia, Moscow (where she won 1st price for abstract painting at Russian Art Week), Baden-Baden and Madrid, she has now found her way into the heart of the art world itself – NYC.  The show entitled, World of Light, will soon grace the walls of the Soho space, Broadway Gallery, NYC.  As her first solo show in New York, this will be a major event that is sure to draw a crowd, so get in line early.

As the title suggests, viewers will be seduced by Sretkova’s use of light.  In the vein of Turner and Rothko, Kristina Sretkova creates paintings that are deeply moving, mysterious, and sensual.  In this show, some of the works are infused with a magical glow that emanates right of the wall, sometimes quiet, sometimes loud.  Whatever the color or sensation, these works are multi-colored, vivacious, and full of pulsating, creative energy.

Sretkova, who has lived in over 3 countries states that she “gets inspiration from different places and that she wants to convey a positive, emotional and intellectual exchange, a kind of a metamorphosis with the viewer…”

Her work is sure to pack a punch to NYC gallery goers delivering a seldom-heard message of optimism, gratitude, joy, love, and hope.

Please join us for Kristina Sretkova’s solo exhibit “World of Light” at Broadway Gallery, NYC from October 3- Oct 17, 2011.
