Futurefarmers / MATRIX 236: Tool Raising

A demonstration of and discussion about tools that allow us to see beyond our biological perceptions and that affect our understanding of the world. The evening includes a show-and-tell of the results of a DIY tool workshop held earlier in the day with Futurefarmers and a cadre of artists and makers, as well as a demonstration of related sensory phenomena.

This off-site event is free for BAM/PFA members and UC Berkeley faculty, staff, and students with ID.

MATRIX 236/Futurefarmers: A Variation on the Powers of Ten (Through April 17)

San Francisco–based collective Futurefarmers (artists Amy Franceschini and Michael Swaine) is spending the academic year in residency at the University exploring the production and the limits of knowledge. Documentation of research events will be made available through the project website (futurefarmers.com/powersoften), publication, and a related installation in Gallery B. By nature of its form, this is a fluid, changing project, so check the website for updated event information.
