Artist Bio:

Heather K. MacDonald was born and raised in the forested coutryside of Northern Virginia.  From a young age, Heather’s family and friends greatly encouraged and influenced her interests in nature, music, dance and the visual arts.  Through her early twenties Heather’s interest in the arts developed into a passion for visual storytelling and animation sparking an artistic journey that led her to find a home in Savannah, Georgia and Montreal, Quebec before settling in New York.  Heather now lives in Rye, New York and works independently as the H.macdo Studio creating unique motion graphics animation and illustration for a variety of clients in the advertising, entertainment and educational industries.

This is Heather’s 2nd solo exhibition at Verlaine. Her Fall Illustrations for 2010 celebrates a passion for digitally inspired designs in combination with a creation of  organic, hand-drawn images for motion. Her newest series of  large-scale watercolor and charcoal drawings on paper will be on display at Verlaine from November 9th- December 4th.  For more information about Heather please visit:
