    Reflections and refractions jolt and disjoint the painted human figures in Cris Brodahl’s work. Nonetheless, in an effort to associate her work with all the right Surrealist buzz words – sexuality, transgression, violence and the uncanny – Brodahl makes it difficult for the viewer to remove the method from the madness that harass the victims in these paintings.
